A country girl who loves the big city, I grew up playing every sport I could before falling in love with basketball. That passion earned me a scholarship to Arizona State University, where I also became a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Iota Kappa Chapter, further fueling my commitment to community service.

In 1997, I was drafted by the Phoenix Mercury in the inaugural WNBA Draft. My professional basketball career took me around the world, playing in Greece, Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Korea, and China. Basketball then brought me back to Sacramento, where I joined the Sacramento Monarchs as an assistant coach and helped lead the team to Sacramento’s first WNBA Championship in 2005. I also served as an assistant coach for the New York Liberty and was honored to be part of two WNBA All-Star coaching staffs.
